A French jewel

This small Provençal town is fascinating, with coquette streets, charming boutiques, and as much history as any French establishment. An Aix-en-Provence experience should include Cours Mirabeau and all of its beautiful fountains, as well as the Mazarin Quarter. But don’t be afraid to go off the beaten path, and discover other charming attractions. With a friendly atmosphere and friendlier people, Aix-En-Provence is a true journey into French culture and history.

Le Clos de la Violette

Award-winning romantic restaurant

Stay Editor's Note

Le Clos de la Violette is a Michelin award-winning, thoroughly innovative restaurant offering stylish, seasonal dishes that underline the perfection of the region’s cuisine.

One of the best examples of what is a stellar cuisine at Le Clos de la Violette is the delicious appetizer of potatoes with fish roe and sea urchins, while a more elegant meal would be the braised sea wolf which comes with crispy fried shallots.

However, before you go drawing conclusions, note that Le Clos de la Violette is not only limited to sea food. Other delicious bites on offer include the wonderful suckling lamb, roasted and stuffed with chick peas and carrots - simply awesome! This is one of the best restaurants in the province - try it.
