Amsterdam Art Galleries
Welcome to one arty town
The Golden Age likes of Rembrandt and Vermeer set a standard that continues today, but the traditional lines between fine art, street art, film, design, photography, multimedia and communication have blurred considerably. Amsterdam's art galleries on the Nieuw Spiegelstraaat strip keep the past alive, but the cutting-edge is to be found in the art galleries of the Jordaan and De Pijp, as well as at such creative 'breeding grounds' as NDSM and Westergasfabriek.
