OK, there’s the Red Light District and the coffee shops… but in fact, Amsterdam is all one big attraction, with its ancient buildings, museums and canals that have remained largely unchanged for centuries – and it’s easy to explore by foot, bike or boat. The picturesque canal ring sets Amsterdam’s attractions standards high, but there is still plenty of charm to explore in more modest neighborhoods like the Jordaan and De Pijp and the modern architectural mecca that is the Eastern Docklands.
