Amsterdam Museums
A mixed bag of histories retold
Amsterdam's museums have a variety of focuses: ones dedicated to hidden churches, photography, the Hermitage collection, WWII resistance, football, hashish, erotica and more. However, the two main museums of Amsterdam remain largely closed, the Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art until 2010 and the Rijksmuseum for another decade – though it still has a wing open to showcase its '100 Masterpieces', featuring Rembrandt's 'Night Watch' and 99 others.
