Traditional Dutch cuisine isn't the most inspiring, but there are plenty of good restaurants in Amsterdam offering international cuisine (it's strong on Indonesian food, for example) and even a few places sourcing great organic produce to create appealing Dutch fare. Dining out in this city tends to be an early evening event so don't leave it much beyond 9pm to venture out for your dinner.
