One-stop shopping for Thai creativity
Chatuchak Weekend Market draws a quarter of a million people each week to some 10,000 stalls. Amid miles of outlets for home and garden (and pet), the plethora of original and vintage goods can overwhelm the uninitiated, though it’s fairly well zoned and mapped.
Go in the cooler hours to find crafts, antiques, clothes, accessories, art, furnishings, food, books and miscellaneous surprises. Restaurants, bars and buskers keep the mood festive.

Chatuchak is always on my list when I'm in Bangkok. This is where I shop for fashion, for souvenirs and food. Wander, get lost, and find brilliant gems.

You can literally get lost there. They have maps. That's how big this place is. Popular among Thai, although tourists have started to flock to this place now too. It gets very hot there and is only open on weekends. Very crowded but the variety and low prices are attractive.
