One great thing about Barcelona is that you can enjoy it without breaking the bank. Seeing Gaudi's masterpieces from the distance is free, and so is sunbathing and swimming at La Barceloneta. Many museums are free the first Sunday of the month. We got lucky to visit the amazing Picasso Museum in such a day.
