Unique historic structure
Marble Boat (Shi Fang) is unique historic structure that resembles a boat in appearance. It was constructed in 1755 and restored by the Empress Dowager Cixi in the late 19th century. The building is located at the end of the Long Corridor. The wood on the building is painted to resemble marble.
Marble Boat (Shi Fang) has come to represent China’s troubles to many Chinese. It has two stories and there is a large mirror on each level.
