An experiment in International exchange
The East Side Gallery, is a gallery of art painted on a section of the remains of the Berlin Wall. Here, artists renderings are being preserved on what is perhaps the longest art gallery in the world. The renditions here tell Berlin’s and Germany’s history in graphic detail.
A fascinating time line of art. The idea is to build an international memorial of freedom rather than a static museum of art. So, in a way, this gallery is an experiment in International exchange as much as a cultural monument.
