A showcase for Eastern European art
Galerie Eigen & Art is the Berlin branch of the renowned Eigen+Art gallery in Leipzig. Founder and gallery owner Gerd Harry Lybke is seized a great opportunity when the wall fell gathering works from former communist countries and exhibiting them in this fine gallery.
The gallery displays numerous works focused on artists from what was East Germany, and other Soviet satellites behind the iron curtain. Traveling exhibits are also shown at the gallery, as well as new works by emerging talent from Eastern Europe.
