The houses of the German Empire's parliament
Germany’s Parliament Building (Reichstag) served the parliament of the German Empire. Opened in 1894, it served this purpose until 1933 when it was set afire by extremists. Having fallen into disrepair since WWII, only since the reunification has the building been restored and open to visitors.
After the Second World War the Reichstag building fell into disuse as the government met at other facilities. Now, visitors can tour this beautiful piece of German architecture and its place in world and German history.
