Site of JFK's famous speech
American tourists may greatly appreciate a visit to Schöneberg Rathaus, as it is the site of John F. Kennedy’s famous Ich bin ein Berliner speech from 1963. The building also has political relevance, as it was once the administrative center of West Berlin.
The square around Schöneberg Rathaus has been named after the former American president that made his speech here, and from the square, you can here the Freedom Bell ring daily. Climb the tower if you have time, as the pinnacle offers an amazing, panoramic view of the surrounding city.
