Berlin Restaurants
Pork, cabbage and cosmopolitan diversity
The local cuisine, heavy stuff that usually involves pork and cabbage, has never been much of a cause for celebration, but in Berlin, restaurants have all the cosmopolitan dining diversity of any major European city, and there is decent regional food from other parts of Germany. Turkish eats are particularly prevalent in parts of the west, and the doner kebab vies with the currywurst (both of them local inventions) to be Berlin's premier street snack.
