The city that inspired Cheers isn't short of great pubs
Boston's bars and pubs are internationally famous. This is the place that provided the exterior shots for Cheers is in Back Bay and there's a reproduction bar in Faneuil Hall, but both are shams. You will, however, find numerous real-deal watering holes. Thanks to the Irish connection, Boston bars and pubs are numerous – some so authentic you'd swear you were in Dublin. Beer is the beverage of choice here and local microbrews abound.
