Fascinating maritime church
The Notre-Dame de Bon Port has a very fascinating history. At first this church was used mostly by sailors who prayed to be safe while they traveled around the world trading items. Sailors gave the church the name “Our Lady of Safe Harbor”.
Notre-Dame de Bon Port is beautifully decorated with Thanksgiving plaques and other historical artifacts from the 16th century. This church has been visited by renowned Popes including Pope Gregoire XI.
This church is over 400 years old and is must see historic site. The Notre-Dame de Bon Port also has 17th century iron grills that magnificently surround the naves.
