Burial chamber of the 2nd century
The two-storied Burial Chamber named Weidener Grabkammer in the West of Cologne used to be a Roman family Mausoleum on the road to Aix-la-Chapelle. It dates back to the 2nd century and cointains still existant furnishings.
Visitors can admire busts with portraits of a married couple and a young woman or two basket chairs copied in limestone. The site is well worth you diverting away from nearby attractions for a photo op or informative stop over.
