Soothing oasis filled with treasures
Glyptoteket, a vast Copenhagen museum, which houses more than 10,000 works ranging from ancient sculpture to impressionist paintings, was founded by Carlsberg brewer Carl Jacobsen and presented to the public at the end of the 19th century.
Glyptoteket continues to be one of the city's most popular and attractive museums, partly because of the beautiful, indoor Winter Gardens, where the very pleasant cafe is located.
