All the stars of the Danish Golden age
The extensive art collection of tobacco heir Hirschsprung was presented to the state in 1902. The Copenhagen museum at The Hirschsprung Collection offers an overview of some of Denmark’s most treasured painters, including Krøyer and Eckersberg.
In fact, if you’re interested in 19th century Danish art, it’s a better collection than at the Statens Museum for Kunst.
