Europe's longest pedestrian shopping experience
Strøget is a pedestrian only street that runs from Rådhuspladsen (Town Hall Square), to Kongens Nytorv (King’s New Square). The street is touted as the longest shopping street in Europe, and with the name brands to go with the title as well.
Except for the local souvenir shops, most of the fare along this busy street can be found in any major European metropolis, except not all on the same street perhaps. For shopping in Copenhagen though, there is not better place to walk at your leisure, sampling not only great stores but some wonderful food and beverages along the way. Bring your walking shoes though, the shopping excursion is a trek for sure.
