The Mile-High City
It may be sitting at exactly 5280ft, but Denver owes its good name to many other factors aside its altitude, although you cannot imagine a Denver travel guide without the beautiful Rocky Mountains - and you shouldn’t. But Denver boasts everything a cosmopolitan city has to offer - monthly festivals, museums and art, gorgeous parks, crystal clear lakes, abundant wildlife and recreation opportunities. A number of great shopping opportunities for shopaholics include the 16th Street Mall and the Cherry Creek Shopping District, and dining features everything from weird American food (like the Rocky Mountain Oysters - fried bulls testicles) to international gourmet delights.
