Classic music and casinos
There are two things that keep the Detroit entertainment stage alive: classic music, and casinos. The latest arrived in Detroit in 1999, and although they are not as popular as similar venues in Atlantic City and Las Vegas, they have their share of fame. Numerous concerts, stand up comedy shows, dance and other events are organized to entertain the casino’s guests. There are many theaters around Detroit featuring world-class performances, and the renowned Detroit Symphony Orchestra performs at Max M. Fisher Hall. Don’t forget that Detroit hosts exciting annual festivals, like the Detroit Boat Show in February, and Movement - Detroit’s annual electronic dance festival, in May.
