World-class museums
Since Detroit lost its status of the auto capital of the world, the city has shifted its attention on other tourist attractions, like its world-class museums, for example. Midtown is the cultural center of the city, and here you’ll find the most renowned Detroit museums: the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, the Detroit Historical Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit and the Detroit Children’s Museum. Dearborn - Detroit’s suburb to the Southwest - is home to another museums you shouldn’t miss: the Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village, and the Automotive Hall of Fame.
