Superb museums, few crowds

For many visitors, the city’s world famous art galleries steal the show while the Florence museums are often relatively empty. The Bargello is the most popular and the Museo di San Marco the most spiritual, but don’t miss the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo for the history of and art works taken from of Florence’s cathedral, the Archaeological museum for its superb Etruscan artefacts and the Science museum for its fascinating collection of scientific instruments.
