Avant-garde German Architecture

You’ve never imagined Germany this way. With its stunning, futuristic skyline and Germany’s largest airport, Frankfurt is a lively city, where travelers can find something exciting to do every day. Rich and opulent (the financial capital of Continental Europe), Frankfurt is a city of contrasts. Alongside the most avant-garde skyscrapers, some of Germany’s oldest buildings coexist, carefully preserved, for future generations.

Stay Editor's Note

All the romance of Morocco is found in Frankfurt’s Casablanca Bar in the superb Le Méridien Parkhotel. A laid back, chilled out bar perfect for a little old school glamour inspired perhaps by Bogart and Bacall themselves, accompanied by a leisurely bottle of wine or delightful cocktails with friends. An exotic sophisticated look, inspired by the deep, luscious colours and sumptuous textiles of North Africa as well as a collection of Casablanca film memorabilia, set this atmospheric bar from the usual High Street offerings. A good selection of simply delicious bar snacks and light bites are available to be enjoyed alongside well mixed drinks and the melodic sounds from Casablanca’s resident pianist. Here’s looking at you kid.
