Situated inside a beautiful brick building, the Deutsches Zollmuseum is a very unique repostitory of all things related to customs. Over 2000 exhibit pieces here refect Hamburg’s long history as a maritime port of entry to Germany and all of Europe.
Visitors to the Deutsches Zollmuseum will see all kinds of artifacts from customes officer’s uniforms to smuggler’s loot. An added bonus here are the smells of such rich items as cocoa and spices from far away places. The kids will really enjoy this museum, so don’t miss it if you are in the area.
