For travelers who want to enjoy the city at their own pace, Downtown Houston makes available three free Audio Walking Tours, narrated by local insiders. The tours are available to download to your iPod or MP3 player or as a podcast on iTunes. Maps of the tours are also available in *.pdf format.
There are three Audio Walking Tours available:
- Ultimate Downtown Walking Tour, featuring the voice of local insider Dan Workman, owner of Houston’s famed Sugar Hill Studios;
- Museum District Walk & Roll with Shara Fryer, retired Ch. 13/ABC news anchor;
- A Walk in the Park: Discovery Green Walking Tour with Guy Hagstette, Discovery Green Conservancy’s president and park director.
