Childhood home of the former President
The Harry S. Truman Farm Home is where the former President of the United States spent most of his childhood. It is often said this is where Truman developed his famed common sense approach. Visitors can tour the house and grounds of this over 5 acre farm.
President Truman worked this farm until he left to fight in WW I. The estate is now maintained by the National Park Service, and admission is free. This site makes a perfect side trip into the beautiful countryside of this part of Missouri.
