A work of art housing works of art
The Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art opened in 1994 and has become one of the most respected galleries in the United States since then. Permanent collections donated by Bebe and Crosby Kemper are featured, as well as any number of temporary exhibits of national and international merit.
Of particular note of late the complete retrospective by fashion photographer, Herb Ritts has been on temporary display. The art inside the building is reflected so well by the building itself, a work of architectural genius in its own right. This museum is well worth your time. Be sure and check for new exhibits during your time in Kansas City. Admission is free.
