A tradition lives on
One great attraction that captures the true spirit of Kansas City it the American Royal Museum & Visitors Center. This interactive museum is a great experience for kids of all ages. Exhibits show the agricultural and livestock traditions of the area, and help preserve a part of that bygone way of life.
The museum opened in 1992 and has become a premier venue for locals and visitors alike since. If you are in town during the Kansas City Fall Festival, don’t miss the opportunity to catch some of the events here. There’s also a general store, a big barnyard, and of course the stockyards.
