Excellent museums, definite must-sees
Krakow is the cultural hub of southern Poland, and its own cultural hub is Stare Miasto, the Old City. Here you’ll find the best Krakow museums: The Old Synagogue, which serves as a museum documenting Jewish life in Kraków; the Czartoryski Museum, home of Leonardo da Vinci’s “Lady with an Ermine;” the Galicia Jewish Museum; the Museum of the Main Marketplace and many others. 17 km from Krakow you’ll find the old town of Wieliczka, a UNESCO World Heritage Sites and a definite must-see.
