The National Planetarium is among the best and most high-tech attractions of the country. Situated at the peak of the beautiful Lake Gardens Park, the planetarium offers a unique experience in showcasing mankind’s dream of exploring outer space.
Malaysia’s National Planetarium opened to the public in 1994 and consumes about 32 acres of land which showcases extra-ordinary facilities including the Space Science Exhibit, Space Theatre, Viewing Gallery, Resource Centre and the Observatory Park that enables visitors to view the stars.
The building itself of the National Planetarium is a breathtaking combination of traditional Islamic architecture and modern technology. This planetarium makes learning about the universe and outer space very entertaining. Admission fees are only RM2 for kids and RM3 for adults and the Space Movie costs RM4 for children and RM6 for adults.
