Egyptian-themed shopping center!
Located at the center of Bandar Sunway, Petaling Jaya, Sunway Pyramid is the first shopping complex with an Egyptian theme. From its opening in July 1997, the Egyptian pyramid design with an imposing lion statue on guard at the entrance has attracted shoppers from all over the world.
Sunway Pyramid shopping mall is decorated with various Egyptian designs with lots of pseudo-hieroglyphics and Pharonic statues scattered all over the building. With 800 specialty stores, shopping in this magnificent themed mall seems like taking a trip to Egypt.
Aside from the usual things you will see in malls, Sunway Pyramid is the only mall in the country that houses an ice-skating rink that is popular among kids.
The massive shopping mall occupies four million square feet of retail space and has four floors.
