Scenic tours through Tahoe National Forest
Alpine Meadows Stables offer guided horseback riding tours through Tahoe National Forest. The stables opened in the mid 1940s, and were the first in operation in Alpine Meadows, back then known as Deer Park. You’ll be enjoying tours with a long tradition.
The horses at Alpine Meadows Stables are trained and gentle animals, perfect for any rider. To reach the stables, from Interstate 80 in Truckee, take Hwy 89 South approx. 10 miles towards Squaw Valley/Tahoe City. Turn Right on Alpine Meadows Road, and find the stables .5 miles up the road on your left.
