The treasure of Emerald Bay

Vikingsholm, the jewel of Emerald Bay, is known for stunning architecture (designed by Lennart Palme), that blends harmoniously with the natural scenery. This is the summer home of Mrs.Lora Josephine Knight, a major benefactor to the Christian Science churches in Santa Barbara

Vikingsholm was constructed in 1929 by 200 workers. Along with the “Tea House” on Fannette Island and Emerald Bay, Vikingsholm is a part of Emerald Bay State Park, a National Natural Landmark. Tours of Vikingsholm Castle are available seven days a week from Memorial Day weekend until the end of September.
