Las Vegas restaurants are famous for international haute cuisine. These days if you’re a world-class chef without an outpost in Las Vegas, you’re an anomaly, and each resort takes pride in collecting famous names in its restaurants. These culinary stars may not always cook here, but their mere ‘presence’ has nonetheless upped the ante and helped bumped the Strip into Michelin territory – 17 restaurants received at least one star in 2008. Yes, there are still plenty of buffets; they’re just not as cheap as they used to be.
