The world's most popular city destination

They say size isn’t everything – but it helps. With a population of over 7.5 million, London is nothing if not a city of diversity. It has restaurants offering every type of cuisine imaginable, museums and galleries that are the envy of cities the world over, some of the most happening nightclubs and bars on the planet, and so much excitement to entertain the kids, you’ll be jealous. Over 25million visitors a year can’t be wrong.

Old Bailey

London's most famous criminal court

Stay Editor's Note

A gilded statue of blind (meaning impartial) justice stands atop of Old Bailey (The Central Criminal Court). Although the current building was only completed in 1907, the site has hosted some of the most controversial trials in British history, including that of Oscar Wilde.

More recently, the Kray brothers and IRA bombers have been put in the dock here. The public is welcome to attend trials but bags, cameras, dictaphones, mobile phones and food are prohibited (and no storage facilities are provided).
