Lyon's fine arts museum
The Musée des Beaux-Arts is one of the most reputed institutions of its kind in France, and Europe. Spread over 70 rooms, its collections feature a spectacular journey from ancient to modern art.
On display at the Musée des Beaux-Arts you’ll find rare ancient Greek and Egyptian art, including sculptures and paintings, as well as a good Middle Ages collection, and more works from contemporary artists. Free audio guides in English and Italian are available. You can end your visit with a stop at the museum’s cafeteria. Note that the entrance is free with the Lyon City Card.
