The first GKM gallery was founded in 1967 in Jönköping, Sweden, by Siwert Bergström. The GKM initials stand for Galleri Kända Målare, in English translation, gallery of famous artists. Today, the gallery is called Galleri GKM Siwert Bergström, and it moved to Malmö.
Galleri GKM Siwert Bergström grew to international fame, as it showcases works by talented local artists, who are also recognized internationally. The gallery presents sculptures, engravings, lithographs, serigraphs, art books and much more.
