A beautiful church just as it was hundreds of years ago
Restored during the Victorian era, Manchester Cathedral is still retains much of its magnificent original medieval architecture. Located in the oldest part of the city, overlooking the river Irwell, it is a always a popular tourist attraction.
Part of the Church of England, the church’s fine stained glass windows, wonderful carvings, and large religious bookshop make it a fascinating place to explore. Architecturally, and aesthetically, it is one of the prettiest little churches in all the UK.
