Memorable park with outdoor theater
Nestled in the foothills of the Pennines, Heaton Park is one of Europe’s largest municipal parks, at over 600 acres. The park is host to numerous concerts throughout the year, and a summer outdoor theatre.
Heaton Park contains eight English Heritage listed buildings, a boating lake, an 18th century hall, four championship standard bowling greens (built for the Commonwealth Games), a golf course, a herd of highland cattle and a farm.
