History and nature
The third largest city of Sicily, Messina was founded by the Greeks in the 8th century BC. This legacy is still obvious in many of the city’s attractions, art and architecture. There are numerous must sees in the area, but for the ultimate Messina travel guide we would like to mention the Cathedral, and the church Santa Maria degli Alemanni, the San Ranieri lighthouse, and the Regional Museum. Discover the surrounding nature around Messina as well.
