The aquatic life
Built in the late 50s, the Messina Aquarium consists now of 22 tanks and 8 mediterranean aquariums. More than 100 species of fish and other marine inhabitants are presented in their natural habitats.
Close by, there is also the Museum of Marine Life. The Messina Aquarium is the only one of its kind in Sicily.
