Museo Nacional de Historia can be found inside the Castillo de Chapultepec which was previously used as the presidential home. It was transformed into a museum of national history in 1944 which chronicles various aspects of the history of the country.
Museo Nacional de Historia has 20 halls distributed in 2 storeys and is filled with remarkable designs including murals that depict major historical evolution of the nation painted by the most talented Mexican artists such as David Alfaro Siqueiros, Juan O'Gorman, Jorge Gonzalez Camarena and Eduardo Solares.
Museo Nacional de Historia offers guided tours and there are lots of events such as temporary exhibitions and classical music concert every now and then. You can relax in the cafe and library inside the museum. Make it a point to visit this place.
