Forget the fact that Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink is a celeb hot spot and focus on the Design District gem’s fabulous, creative fare. Chef Michael Schwartz grows many of his own ingredients on a farm and the freshness is palatable.
Wood-roasted black grouper with Brussels sprouts is outstanding as are the numerous ‘snacks’ offered at Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink for $5 or less, including devilled eggs, kimchi and toasted hominy. Choose from large, medium or small plates and either dine in the candlelit courtyard or in the industrial chic dining room with open kitchen.
