Miami Shopping
Exercising the plastic is a local Miami pastime
Plastic pink flamingos and assorted pieces of Florida kitsch aren't the only things worth buying in Miami. Some of the trendiest clothing boutiques south of SoHo have set up shop here despite the notion that in Miami, less is more. But it's not just teeny-weeny bikinis, high end couture or old-school Cuban-style guyaberas – there's also furniture, decor and, if you insist, hats made out of palm fronds. Whether you prefer to shop in stand-alone mom and pop shops or mega malls, Miami's merchants are always happy to take your money.
