Rich and worldly pieces of art fill the halls of this neoclassical Minneapolis landmark. With over 80,000 objects spanning over 5,000 years the Minneapolis Institute of Arts is one of the best museums in the Midwest.
The Minneapolis Institute of Arts has seven curatorial areas including: Arts of Africa and America; Asian Art; Contemporary Art; Decorative Arts, Textiles & Sculpture; Paintings; Photography and New Media; Prints and Drawings; and Textiles. Regional works include the Purcell Cutts House and a Minnesotan Artists Exhibition Program. Numerous special exhibits are featured to supplement the beauty of the Institute.
