Exercise friendly, downtown lake
Lake Calhoun is the largest of the four area Chain of Lakes. Measuring 3.2 miles around, Calhoun is a very popular location for walking, jogging, biking, rollerblading, fishing, swimming, sailing, wind surfing and canoeing. Water-craft rentals are available.
Three swimming beaches, sports fields and surrounding park land make Calhoun a great place to unwind. Trails connect Calhoun with the other area Chain of Lakes. “The Tin Fish”, a popular fish and chips restaurant, can be found on Lake Calhoun’s edge. Popular shopping districts are located close-by to both the east (Uptown) and south (Linden Hills).
