There are many decent hotels in Naples, from hostels to five-star luxury hotels, while recent years have seen a proliferation of bed and breakfasts. These operate in characteristic old palazzi, or less salubrious settings, so choose wisely. Consider your schedule (and budget) before booking – nightlife or near the sea? (Chiaia offers both.) A view or a courtyard? Avoid seedy Piazza Garibaldi unless proximity to the train station is important.
