The major Nice entertainment highlight is the Opéra de Nice, with a full repertoire of large-scale opera, like Tosca and Carmen. This is where you can also see the Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice performing. If you’d rather spend your time gambling, visit Casino Ruhl, which, in addition to its slot machines and the formal gaming room, features great cabaret entertainment. The entertainment programme is complete with two festivals you shouldn’t miss: the annual Nice Jazz Festival (last week in July) and the Nice carnival in February.
