The place Jack London called home
Oakland has a number of important historic attractions no one should miss. The city is one of the busiest industrial ports on the West Coast, but fortunately it preserved a lot of its genuine spirit. The 16th Street Station has a great façade. The USS Potomac: FDR’s Floating White House, is also here, one of the main Oakland attractions in the harbor. And don’t forget that this is where Jack London lived and wrote, so take a history walk - follow the etched wolf paws on the path that leads to London’s waterfront haunts; or see Jack London’s cabin on Webster Street in Jack London Square.
